Panjabi is the Mother Tongue of over 150 million people of different faiths, living in many countries. Written using different alphabets, the spoken language remains the same and continues to prosper in different dialects. It has a history of over 1000 years and rich literature that spans the compositions of Sheikh Farid, Sikh Guru sahiban, Baba Bulley Shah, Shah Hussein, Warris Shah, Dhani Ram Chatrik, Bhai Vir Singh, Professor Puran Singh, and many other esteemed writers. Our common legacy emerges from this heritage.
ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਧਰਮਾਂ ਦੇ 150 ਮਿਲੀਅਨ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਾਂ-ਬੋਲੀ ਹੈ। ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਅੱਖਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਲਿਖੀ ਗਈ, ਬੋਲੀ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਇੱਕੋ ਜਿਹੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਉਪਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੁਸ਼ਹਾਲ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸਦਾ 1000 ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਦਾ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਅਮੀਰ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸ਼ੇਖ ਫਰੀਦ, ਸਿੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨ, ਬਾਬਾ ਬੁੱਲੇ ਸ਼ਾਹ, ਸ਼ਾਹ ਹੁਸੈਨ, ਵਾਰਿਸ ਸ਼ਾਹ, ਧਨੀ ਰਾਮ ਚਾਤ੍ਰਿਕ, ਭਾਈ ਵੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ, ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਿੰਘ, ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਤਿਕਾਰਤ ਲੇਖਕਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਰਚਨਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫੈਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸਾਡੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਇਸ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਭਰਦੀ ਹੈ।
Punjabis across the Diaspora have come together to recognize, compile and promote compositions in Punjabi through a unique Punjabi magazine and website. This is a non-political and non-partisan endeavour to promote Punjabi language, literature, and culture in the diaspora.
ਡਾਇਸਪੋਰਾ ਦੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਲੱਖਣ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਮੈਗਜ਼ੀਨ ਅਤੇ ਵੈੱਬਸਾਈਟ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਚਨਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਛਾਣਨ, ਸੰਕਲਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ। ਪਰਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ, ਸਾਹਿਤ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਫੁੱਲਤ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਇੱਕ ਗੈਰ-ਸਿਆਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਰਪੱਖ ਯਤਨ ਹੈ।
